Becoming Me

Somehow I thought the most existential thing I could say about myself this year is that I am still changing, still becoming. Several times in my life I have changed in goals and lifestyles. Again I must be someone new. Letting go of my sense of identity past and changing to see myself as who I am today is difficult and sometimes sad, sometimes daunting, sometimes joyful. In my mind, I am becoming.

So I began to think of becoming as my mantra. I changed it to Becoming Me as I planned a meme for myself. I matched this phrase to an Apophysis flame graphic that created one day. Like my family logo, the whole think fit my sense of self.

Then I decided to see if anyone else was using the phrase. Lo and behold, there are 4 websites and two books with the Becoming Me phrase in the title. Ah...well. Guess I need a new personal meme. I know: Becoming myself.
